Before Embby Clock
For over a decade, I worked in international marketing and product development in China’s top hygiene products industry, serving as Overseas Marketing Director at one of the country’s top 10 factories. I witnessed—and helped shape—3rd major industry shifts: from disposable diapers, to biodegradable hygiene products.
I was among the earliest to pioneer biodegradable solutions in the supply chain, working on products like bamboo fiber diapers, wipes, sanitary pads, and flushable pads. Brands including Dyper, Andy Pandy, Bambo Nature, and Eco Pea have since become global leaders in eco-friendly hygiene, with products reaching markets in North America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and South Africa. Being part of that movement is something I’m deeply proud of.
For me, one question always comes first: Is this good for the planet, and for future generations? That belief is now the foundation of Embby Clock—woven into everything from our choice of materials to the way we assemble and package each clock.
Why handcrafted embroidery gifts?
Choosing this path wasn’t random—it was deeply intentional. Growing up, my parents taught me to value relationships, and I’ve always been drawn to work that centers on people and connection. In both the hygiene products industry and in handmade gifts, the core is the same: it’s about people.
In a world chasing “faster, faster,” I chose a craft you can’t rush. Hand embroidery is slow, deliberate, and full of character—just like the human emotions it reflects. Each stitch is slightly different, imperfect yet heartfelt. I believe the world needs both: people to accelerate progress, and people to slow down and preserve meaning.
Embroidery brings me peace. I’ve made countless small, practical pieces for friends and family, and their joy when receiving something handmade is priceless. My stitches may not be perfect, but it’s the thought that counts—and that’s what they remember.
